Dear Cindy,
The nightime feedings have more of an effect on supressing lactation. I do
admit I had a friend, tho, who just did not ovulate at all when
breastfeeding, and sadly weaned at 6 mos to get pregnant each time(4 kids) An
alternative might be to try to nurse other times than during the night(hard
if sleeping depends on nursing to sleep) or doing a charting in regards to
fertility awareness to see if she is getting signs of ovulation. I am 41, not
nursing but ovulate still most every cycle. If you want more info on
fertility awareness, let me know.
