This drug has a generic name. It is methyldopa. Methyldopa is not
contraindicated during breastfeeding. Actually, it would increase the
mother's milk supply.
Please ask the physician or the mother to contact me privately. The
physician won't, of course. But the mother should make the decision.
Breastfeeding is important. If the physician feels that methyldopa is
contraindicated during breastfeeding, why does he not use a drug which
is not? The reason is, he undoubtedly feels *all* drugs are
contraindicated during breastfeeding.
