To Susan in Ranana - I remember recently reading an article that
stated a mom could approximate the amount of expressed breastmilk the baby
would need in a day by multiplying 2.5 oz per pound of the baby's weight.
That would approximately give the 24 hour amount - then divide that by 8 -10
feedings. I have also seen cases where the baby would cut back on feedings
when the mom was away and catch up with lots of extra nursings when mom was
home!
Smart Baby!
