I can definately sympathize with you Edie.  Every time I see clients
at the hospital, the midwives accompany on the consultation.  I can
appreciate that they want to learn, but then they don't refer
patients that really need refering, because they want to do it all
themselves.  The problem with that is I have come across clients on
supply lines at home with no back up, a dehydrated 18 day old  and a
few other nasties.  I find it really frustrating.  The icing on the
cake came when I found the Early Discharge Nurse using a
Breastfeeding Assessment form that I had formulated, on her own
clients.  I was not impressed.
