First foods, humm...my first son was exclusively bf until 8 months (nursed
until 3 yrs), but at when our son was only 5 months, my dear father-in-law
decided that Diet Coke was an appropriate tasting experience. Now, mind
you, not a single food/drink item besides breastmilk had EVER passed this
child's lips until then. Can you just image the reaction--both mine and
our son's? Let's say, it would not have made for a good Diet Coke
commercial. It's also a really quick way to piss-off a new mom. We tend
to forget that food IS a very sensitive issue in our society.
