I always learn things the hard way, but I have come to believe that every
mother wants what is best for her baby and does everything in her power to
do what she thinks is best in her situation.  We don't know what may
ultimately be influencing a mother and the choices she makes, but if we do
our best to educate, inform and support her and then trust her to do the
best she can- there is no failure on her part or ours, regardless of how her
feeding choices go. This is why we need to work so hard to change our
society and the messages it gives to mothers. Cathy Liles
