I have just heard that a prominent LC recently announced at a conference
on breastfeeding that Lact-Aid International is no longer in existence.
I want to make sure everyone knows that this is absolutely false!

Not only is Lact-Aid still in business, (as they have been for a quarter
century) but they are introducing some new products, including a starter
version of the Lact-Aid. They also now have a web site at
<www.Lact-Aid.com>.

Since the Lact-Aid has many advantages over other supplemental devices,
especially for the repeated, long-term use generally required in
adoptive nursing, this rumor is very unfortunate and could only result
in harm to both mothers and babies.

Respectfully,
Darillyn Starr (Writer and adoptive mother of six)
