Okay - the continuation of this amazing saga. This mother was given a
prescription for Nystatin over the phone yesterday before she saw the doctor
today - she had given one dose yesterday - then doctor today had told her
not to give medication because of building a tolerance - and yes that has
upset her.

Well this doctor prescribed 2cc four times a day - 1 cc in each cheek. Said
to just squirt it in. The baby - 7 weeks old - 11 lbs - has vomited over
and over since that single dose yesterday. In looking in Dr. Hales book -
it talks about dosages - and then it mentions that adverse effects are bad
taste, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting. Mother is now very concerned about this
dose she gave the baby and worried about consequences.

Dr. Hale - or anyone - any ideas.

But my main question is how do I make this report to this physician - so
that I give him accurate info without burning my bridges or making him feel
I am belittling him or putting him down.

I truly appreciate your help
