I would like to correct Deborah's mistaken assumption that the pump being
offered by Ross is a "formula co pump" and that it was "developed for the
distinct purpose of sabotage." The pump was developed and is being
manufactured by our company. It meets the same rigorous standards as all of
our other products. The suggestion that "the whole purpose of their
existence is for women to try pumping once and turn to the bottle...." is
unfair and untrue, especially in reference to White River Products. To
suggest, as she has, that our Company is part of a devious scheme to
undermine breastfeeding is unwarranted.
I absolutely agree that the poor function of many breast pumps on the market
today serve only to discourage women and fail to stimulate an ample supply
of milk. That is why women should be able to rely on breastfeeding
"professionals" to guide them, in an unbiased way, to useful items that can
help them overcome breastfeeding problems and obtain extra milk for feedings
when mom is away.
