<< The happiest day in the life of these moms is the day when the baby can
hold his or her own bottle. What is the deal???? Breastfeeding or not, I
want to HOLD my babies! >>
Lisa,
I totally agree. Sadly, my first weaned about 9.5 mos, little did I know it
was probably a nsg strike, but he went on a bottle and took it, rocking and
cuddling, til 3.5 yrs. I have kicked myself again and again for allowing the
weaning (I did try for a few days to get him to nurse, but I did not pump),
realizing that he still needed the sucking, cuddling, and loving well into
childhood. Happily, my #2 is still nsg at 27 mos. We really need to
emphasize in prenatal and bf classes, how babies and children need the
holding and cuddling so much.
