Janet,
You described very quickly the hold you used for the bubble palate.  I've had
troubles with this type of palate (my first in St. Louis in 1986 was 3 months
old and at birth weight - took her straight to the hospital).  Could you add to
it?  A mom I'm working with has had lots of troubles - Thrush twice, sore
nipples, etc.  I found a bubble palate and we have been working on good, deep
latch-ons, but you described holding your breast???  This baby latches on better
on Left breast than onn Right, so perhaps mom holding her Right breast might
relieve her pain.
