My "new " response to "I bottlefd (was bottlefd, etc) and I (they) am just
fine" is

"Good for you, you beat the odds" and depending on the reaction I get, may go
on to quote the stats on incidence of infections etc.

I presented today to our county board of sups, regarding a declaration for
Valentines day/brfdg a gift of love, and got a pretty positive response, I
thought. The chair commented that his mother saw the proclamation text the
night before and essentially said "I drank while pregnant with you, and I
didn't breastfeed you and you turned out fine", to which his joking response
today was to the effect that it proved how imiportant it is to support brfdg.
And that as a restauranteur, how his attitude has changed over the years to
one of support for a woman who would brfd her infant in his restaurant, vs it
being inappropriate 20 years ago.
