Hi,
 Last spring I was surprized by my Bosnian in-law to learn that the flowers
from our Little Leaf Linden (Basswood) are made into tea.  We harvested many
bags
for them and they were thrilled to bits.  Could this be what you are talking
about? (They had berry shaped parts).
