>Surgeons General I think (Linda correct me if Im wrong) "Lucky is a baby
>that is breastfed till he is two" in her talk at the end of her movie.
As reported in The Baby Book by William and Martha Sears (p. 188), this
quote is by former Surgeon General Antonia C. Novello. It appeared in the
November 11, 1990 issue of Parade magazine:
"Mother's milk is the ideal food for babies because, in addition to
providing just the right nutrients, it also contains white cells and
proteins that help fight gastrointestinal, respiratory, and ear infections.
The American Academy of Pediatrics says that babies should be breastfed
until age 1. (It's the lucky baby, I feel, who continues to nurse until
he's 2.)"
