Another thank you for the encouraging posts I received regarding my friend's
father. He has begun chemo this week and plans on consuming her EBM. I have
a few questions; her baby is 9 months and while he continues to nurse
frequently during the day and night, she feels her supply is beginning to
decline as he becomes more involved with food. She does pump 1 or 2 times a
day and is able to accumulate 6-8 ounces. Any suggestions for keeping up the
supply as her baby grows so she is able to provide EBM for her Dad??
Question 2 is how should they ration the EBM?? SHould he consume the EBM
only while he is in Chemo?? Or should he consume a similar amount each day??
My last question is should he consume the EBM "straight". Would it lose its
"potency" if it was mixed with something else??? TIA for your help and
suggestions.
