Happy New Year to all of you on Lactnet. Hope some of the "lurkers" will come
forth to share their wisdom. My request for the New Year is that we all respect
each other's opinions. Coming from the part of the world where there's too much
hostility, some tolerance would be most welcome.

Linda Smith: Hi. Your posts are getting cut off on the sides. Please check it
out. Can others read your posts or is it just me?

Dr. Jack Newman: Do you have any idea if bf can control the symptoms of the rare
derm. disorder (hereditary) icthyosis? So far, the (male) infant has some flaking -
mostly on the feet and face but no fish-like scales. The mom would like to know
if bf can directly benefit the baby regarding this disease. I've tried looking
everywhere for info and can't find a thing. Even my brother-in-law, the
dermatologist doesn't know. TIA.

To the nurse-midwife who posted last week about Ranana. Please e-mail me privately.
Can't get in touch with you.

Israel is now "blessed" with follow-up formula. "Yippee." We can now add that to
the shelves containing chocolate baby cereal and infant strawberry-pineapple
dessert.

Susan in Ranana, Israel who would be happy to unload the snow you're getting in
the N.E. U.S.
