I mostly lurk on this station but since I am intending to write the LC in
July'97 I find the dialogue fascinating.  I am applying to a Master's
program next fall and since a large focus is research I am hoping to combine
breastfeeding with historical significance.  Hopefully this will lead into
reasons for reluctance for North Americans to really support breastfeeding
and most importantly learn from past mistakes; not sure whether this will be
seen as research.  Thoughts?

My other question is what does the group at large think about hospital based
breastfeeding clinics?  Ideas pro and con, staffing - who and
qualifications, hours of operations.
