I remember reading in a psychology book - I can't remember which, but if I
do I'll post - in which the author actually asserted the opposite.  That
the rise in homosexuality is the result of bottlefeeding practices, and
children not receiving enough affection from their mothers.  This author
postulated  that the general rise in promiscuity was because of the same
reason.  He said that maternal affection and a healthy relationship with
one's mother is essential to healthy sexuality. Have to remember where I
read this.
