Maybe the problem with me and my gay brother (and my straight brother and
my straight sister) is that we were all bottlefed.
I don't think bottlefeeding made my brother gay. I do think there is a
multifactorial genetic link - part genetic, part chemicals that wash over
the fetus in utero. How else can I explain that I have 4 gay cousins
(different branches of the family). Maybe it's having a better developed
gadar than most people.
I do know one lesbian couple who have 2 kids, artifical insem., w/same
donor, mother breastfed both & had Bradley births. The birthmother nursed
both children and to my knowledge didn't feel threatened by the possibility
of the other mother being able to nurse.
If someone wants to study this, I would suggest contacting the National Gay
& Lesbian Task Force. They have very good support & would be a good group
to study in grassroots political organizing on a topic most societies label
taboo.
Back to lurking.
Mary
