Barbara and others: Is arm flailing *always* or necessarily a motoric
stress signal? I still vividly recall my daughter aaaaalmost falling
asleep, suddenly startling and flailing her arms and then crying in
near-hysteria.
Kathy Dettwyler: I would really enjoy hearing about swaddling among
cultures. Is it widely practiced or nearly not at all?
