Hi all -
Some excellent research on this subject was done by Phillip Sanford Zeskind,
PhD at Virginia Tech. Dr. Zeskind spoke at the ILCA conference in 1994, and
tapes are still available. The cardiac rhythms change within 48 hours of
introduction of ABM, and the change is not for the better. Breastfeeding and
human milk also affect the baby's ability to rouse from sleep, therefore have
important implications for SIDS.

school.
