Hello.

This is my first post to Lactnet so let me intro myself quickly. I am a
LLLL and a mother of two boys - R.J. almost 5 and Michael 1 today.

My grandma breastfed my aunt for awhile - until she got pg with my mom
(16 mos between them) and also nursed her niece at the same time for a
few months as she had a large supply of milk and her sister did not have
enough - or so they say. She only nursed my mom m3 months as her milk
"dried up overnight" when my gpa went to Germany for WWII.

I read somewhere - probably in a MOthering Magazine - that there is one
culture that considers any childern who nurse from teh same woman to be
siblings. A father was concerned as he had recieved some milk
accidentally. The person he spoke to about this "law" said he wife was
not considered his mother because he was over 2 years of age!
