Imagine this conversation------

Patient   " I don't want to breastfeed because I'll have to get up at night to feed the
baby and I won't be able to sleep late in the mornings"

Me    "No matter how you feed the baby you will still have to get up every few hours to
feed the baby, and it's easier to breastfeed than get up and fix a bottle"

Patient:    " I live with my parents and grandparents and they will get up and take care
of her (meaning baby) at night and I wont have to"

Me:     "Oh"  (I was speechless to this one!Think I was in shock :)!

This was a 20 yo .her first baby . She was **Spoiled* rotten by her parents and
grandparents, she was *very* self centered and a me - me -  me person.

Later on I asked her grandfather if he planned to get up and fed his great grand
daughter during the night after she went home and he said "yes I do"

Amazingly she did try to nurse a few times but changed her mind.....
