I think the "invading the space" idea has a lot of merit. I still feel a kind of competition with my younger sister, even though we're adults in very different careers! (She's single, no kids,  a full professor of Art at Hollins College in Virginia. I'm married, 3 kids, 1 grandchild, and a lactation consultant & childbirth educator.
