I have known a spayed, virgin dog (bitch actually) to produce milk
when a newly weaned kitten was adopted into the family and latched
on to the dog, literally. The dog was blissed out, and they both
enjoyed this relationship for some months. At the time I inquired
and discovered it was not at all unusual.
