"Dr Wright" writes a sydicated Q and A column in many Australian
papers. Today, there was a letter from a mother: "I am a new first
time mother, enthusiastic about breastfeeding, but finding it
terribly hard to get baby established. I feel like giving up in
despair."

The response: "Do not despair and do not give up. Breast-fed babies
do better! Today a lactation consultant, usually at the hospital
where you had your baby, can offer excellent support and can help you
succeed. . . . . I am sure you will be delighted with the ultimate result.

We've arrived. This is a column that likes to find ways to draw
attention to the "latest" information and approaches.
