I would like to echo the opinions of Jeannette and Louise about early feeds
and the sleepy infant. Breastfeeding takes place even without the "ideal"
initiation. Forcing an unwilling child to the breast can lead to 'breast
aversion'. Lets listen to the infant, and watch for his/her cues. How many
times in the past have we got into trouble for arbitrarily applying our
schedules.
