I've seen uric acid crystals and I've also seen urine from a dehydrated baby.
 The uric acid crystals were pink or orangy spot on top of a wet diaper, they
kind of sit on top but the diaper is wet with clear urine.  A baby who has
dehydration has dark urine and a high specific gravity.
