There is one brand of this so-called Toddler formula that advertises its use
in a CUP, therefore bypassing a doctor's recommendation that babies be "off
the bottle" at one year of age. Also, there is a reference to "starter
formula" which supposedly is the infant's formula, and older babies would
somehow need this toddler formula (also available in soy). I find it very
interesting that there has been an explosion of both toddler formula and
adult "formula" drinks (marketed to older folks for extra boost of
nutrition). I think the companies that make and market these products are
trying to bypass the WHO code because these formulas are not for infants, but
the companies can still make their $$$.
