Our 3-1/4 year old boy is also completely dry during the day, but
occasionally at night he will wet. Instead of bothering with towels and
rubber sheets, which always bunch up and are bothersome when 3 or 4 people
are moving around during sleeping, we put him in the thicker training
underwear at night with a nylon diaper cover over it (not rubber, which is
not breathable and he gets too sweaty). This way, most of the wetness
stays inside the nylon cover, although sometimes his pajama edges might
get a little damp. If he wets, the nylon cover can be rinsed out and
left to dry out during the day. The wet undies just go in the regular
laundry.

The local baby stores do sell those nighttime training pants that are
waterproof, but I've never wanted to spend the money (about $10-$20 each)
when the above simple method seems to work fine.

I've also found that he never wets when he sleeps the whole night with
us, but he sometimes will wet when we move him into his own bed and then
he wakes up at 4:00 a.m. without us.
