A woman attending my LLL group is pregnant with her first child and has been
experiencing pain during intercourse during her pregnancy. The OB says an
estrogen creme on her vaginal area would help not permissible during
pregnancy because the hormones might adversely affect a male foetus. After
birth the OB says it would be compatible with nursing if the baby is female
but not if it is a male. Any info on this among all you experts out there.
Perhaps the pain will diminish anyway once the woman is not pregnant but if
not the mother wants to know her options. BF is very important to her but so
is her marriage. It would seem to me that there is already estrogen in
every nursing mother's blood naturally. Would a little more make such a
difference? Thanks for your help.
