>>>Maybe we should ask our kids what they remember of their long
term breast nurturing?>>>

I breastfed my son till he weaned himself a week before his third
birthday. Having learnt to read soon after his second birthday, he
was typing out short stories on the computer by 3. Perhaps because
of my work, all his stories included breastfeeding - even the cats
who went on a picnic and their car broke down. It was obviously the
solution to all life's problems. My favourite piece of his writing
from this time was "how to breastfeed" instructions. "First the baby
crawls to the mother and climbs on her lap"........ It ended with
"Babies like to breastfeed because they get a nice drink and they
also get a cuddle".
