Well, my first real BF question:
I have a mother who is breastfeeding 22 month old twins. They nurse a lot.
What someone wrote not too long ago about if one forgets the other one
reminds him, that sort of thing. She has not gotten a period yet! She got
pregnant through gift and is now thinking about starting treatments again.
Her husband has a low sperm count, her fertility is fine and she had no
problem fully BF her twins. The drug regimen works in cycles. One cycle
includes one shot of Decapeptil followed by 10 days of 3 amps per day
Pergonal. After that they should be able to harvest eggs. If something goes
wrong or they need to do it again, she repeats the cycle. She'd like to know
if she has to wean her children in terms of: 1. effect of hormones on kids,
2. effects of BF on hormone treatment.
I did a search on lactnet on these two drugs and on infertility and didn't
find any specific answers, although there were a lot of similar questions.
Thanks for your help, and please email me privately as well as to the list
as I am hopelessly behind these days.
TIA
