The January issue of PEDIATRICS has an article on research conducted
on the matter of increasing serum vit k in infants... as there is no oral
vit k that is fda approved they worked with bf mothers and supplemented
mom... this did result in raising infants plasma levels to the levels of
thier formula fed conterparts... (i am un sure of the intrinsic value of
this) and other intersting piece is that the infants of the mother's on vit k
supp. ate significantly less at 2, 6, and 12 wks of age....
