Some one asked about this book I mentioned, I did write a reply but my
computer lost it...
The book is called "ABC of Breast Diseases", Edited by JM Dixon, BMJ
Publishing Group, BMA House, Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9JR, 1995. I
ordered my copy through the Australian Medical Association, I don't know
if it is easily available in the US.
One reference about the problems of early solids is "Early solid feeding
and recurrent childhood eczema: A 10-year longitudinal study", Ferguson
DM, Horwood LJ, Shannon FT. Pediatrics, 1990; 86: 541-546. Children
exposed to 4 or more different types of solid food before 4 months had
2.9 times the risk of eczema than those not exposed to early solids.
