Respectfully submitted as a quick note of information for the
non-medically trained LactNetters who nonetheless observe lots of term
newborns re: the following post:

> After the caregiver left
> the bedside, this poor infant stopped breathing for about 10-12 > seconds.

This was a term newborn. Up to 20 seconds apnea (cessation of breathing)
is considered within the normal pattern at this gestational age.
