This sounds very much like macrobiotic infant formula.  I read a book about
macrobiotic pregnancy and it had a receipe for infant formula made from whole
grains.  It talked about breastfeeding being the best I think something along
the lines of if you feed human milk your baby will grow up human.  Commericial
infant formula and you are giving your baby to the industry.  Another animal
milk and your child will grow like an animal.  Soy based formula and something
about it being a plant (don't remember exactly) and then this whole grain
natural formula so your child would be as close to human as using human milk.
