Hi All,
I need to vent a bit - got a call from a lawyer representing a mom with 14-month old baby in a divorce case. Dad's lawyer found a doc who would state in writing that there's no medical benefit in breastfeeding beyond a year. ARRGGGHH! (read with the sound of fingernails scraping down a chalkboard) So now I dig out references, position papers, etc. to go to court for this mom. I have the references and have done this before - that's not what I'm angry about. I'm steamed cause this guy's word is considered above child developmental experts, research, and just plain common sense. My client's lawyer is planning to go after the doc and ask for HIS references, to which I say GO FOR IT!
LC work is lots more interesting some days than just renting pumps, ain't it?
