Thanks to all those who used full names and then showed the appropriate
abbreviations.  Special thanks to Nancy Sherwood ---- her posting
illustrated exactly the sort of thing I am looking for.  If you look at
articles in journals, they almost always write out once in full any term
which they will later abbreviate.  It makes life much easier for those
of us who are alphabetically- challenged.   Good luck to all my fellow
sufferers tomorrow.   Writing to LACTNET is my way of relaxing and not
studying for the exam.   May all your pencils retain their points, may
your erasers be unnecessary, and may you all feel like celebrating at the
