Usually a digest function is set up by the LISTSERV software on the host
computer. Thus you send a command to [log in to unmask] The command
is sometimes DIGEST LACTNET, or an equivalent. I am not sure that it is for
this list - Kathleen or Kathleen?
As far as AOL is concerned - you will see a LACTNET DIGEST in your new mail -
if you do a flashsession it will be downloaded as usual and it is one long
(or more if it is larger that the gateway allows) e-mail message. You can
delete the whole thing or read the whole thing. Some digests list the
contents at the beginning so you can scan that and decide. I am not on the
digest, so I don't know for this list the particulars. I do receive numerous
other digests through AOL and have no problem. It does cut down on the time
spent receiving messsages on AOL.
Hope this is clear :-)
