<< Her letdown is less reliable since she started pumping
and took him off the breast but it was fine before. I think she should get
him back on the breast as well and offer formula after the unlimited
nursing- she said he was so sleepy it took an hour to get an ounce of
formula into him with a bottle. He shows no signs of refusing the breast.
What else, and why the no breast >>
How about a supplementer at the breast? If he is not refusing, but needs
supplement for now, this should work. It could entice him to eat, mom could
still pump after to increase her supply more if needed. You may need to make
the dr. aware of this option. Make sure he realizes that you can see the
amount of supplement in and will follow wts.
