Hi All'
Congratulations to Molly Pessel and Evergreen Hospital for their recent
success. Molly Pessel and been a great inspiration and support to us here is
southern N.H. We have set up a Post-partum Care Center and Lactation
Services in the last year. I would love to see us become baby friendly and
would be interested in networking with other professionals who work for
Columbia/HCA institutions. I think that change very often has to come from
the top down and I have this fantasy that corporate will come down with a
mandate to stop accepting free formula and for all facilities to comply with
the ten steps. I know the OB clinical coor will NOT do this , and I quote,
"We decided not to become baby friendly, we don't want to be known as a
breastfeeding hospital." I wonder if she knows how awful that sounds?
Anyone out there working for this corporation and interested in networking?
Jane-in beautiful, colorful N.H. I love this time of year!
