Hi Netters,

Did anyone see the news last night???? Chicago, channel 5, 10:00 pm news.
They talked about how the growth charts will be revised and out by next
year. (I will not hold my breath on that one) Evidently, they are old,
(1920's is what they quoted) and incorrect, according to research. Of course
they did not mention anything about the charts for BF babies. I am sure they
are only talking about formula-fed infant charts.
Has anyone heard about phthalates???? There was a radio talk show on in
NJ/NY on WOR, 710 am, Dr. Ronald Hoffman, 3:00pm-4:00pm, a few months ago.
They were discussing adv. of BF and stated that it has been found that
formula contains a substance, phthalates, found in BVC tubing and vinyl
flooring, etc.. It can cause infertility problems and increase chances of
breast cancer. The information came out of England research. This is second
hand information and I was wondering if anyone else can help confirm this.
 Thanks.
