Was the mom also on bedrest?  I suspect that bedrest may cause a decrease
in sensory stimulation to the fetus, causing sensory integrative
dysfunction and sucking difficulties.  I have seen it several times in
women who were on bedrest for preterm labor, with or without medications.
 I am not aware of any research linking terbutylene (brethine) with
sucking problems, but this does not mean there is no connection.  Input,
anyone?
