Hello!

I'm quite new here, and already have need of your collective
assistance.......

I have been involved in helping moms and babies breastfeed successfully
since about 1980, in many capacities.  After a highly successful long-term
breastfeeding experience, I first became a H.O.M.E. leader (remembering
when!), then a Bradley Method(r) childbirth educator, and then a birth
assistant.  I've been on staff at Midwifery Today as a contributing editor
and media reviewer since their 2nd year of publication.

Now for my request:

A midwife in our community is developing an informational brochure for the
local Breastfeeding Task Force and asked if I could locate a reference to
the "chemical composition of breastmilk."  (Yes, I have saved the very
recent posting, but I think she wants more details than just the
nutrients...haven't had time to pass the info on to her yet, but when I
read her the listing on a page we have in the Bradley teachers' manual, she
said she wanted more "technical" ingredients!........)  So, anyone have any
ideas where I can direct her search, or an actual list?  Her purpose, as
she put it, is to list the benefits that will appeal to those looking for a
technical, scientific advantage that will make both the BTF proud to
promote and mothers pleased to participate in breastfeeding.
