<< I guess my problem is that I felt really guilty that I had told this woman
about benefits of breastfeeding which she feels she must do now, even though
she's desperately unhappy doing it, but would feel worse because she wasn't
doing the best for her baby.
I need some wise counselling from those have have resolved this dilemma.
Denise:
YOU CAN NOT MAKE THIS WOMAN FEEL GUILTY... she owns that... you ahve
given her information... she must make the decision...do you feel guilty
telling parents not to smoke to use car seats and seat belts....i have a
friend whose friend came home from the hospital with thier newborn in mom's
lap in the front seat... do i need to tell you the rest?
IN MY CAR EVERYONE wears a seat belt .... period! do i feel badly when
mothers want to travel with and have no car seat and so must find other
transport..yes.. babdly enough to let them and thier children in my car
without... nope. sorry.
if you did not tell her the hazards and they came to pass wouldn't that
be worce?
Ease up on yourself... she obviously has a number of layers of issues...
you are there, listening, supporting and trying to help with all you have..
.more than that you can not do... unless you plan to take baby home and feed
for her.....
