Further to Emily educating her peers on breastfeeding and
contraception, my 21 yo step son has been providing a similar service
to his peers at university. He is doing a bachelor of education
majoring in physical education. In his first year, he wrote a major
nutrition paper on the benefits of breastfeeding. In his second year
he had to produce a pamphlet and present a health message to his
class, so this time he chose breastfeeding promotion to pregnant
women. Apparently he was totally unabashed to present this to his
(mostly male) peers. He got good marks for both.

Sadly, he was not breastfed himself, as he was adopted (his birth
mother and he happily found each other last year - she didn't even
know if she had given birth to a boy or a girl). However he watched
his younger brother being breastfed for 3 years and asked me heaps of
questions. I have great hopes for the next generation.
