Hello: First I would like to introduce myself as I am new to Lactnet. My
name is Bonnie Henson. I am a RN and IBCLC at a hospital in southern
California USA that is connected with MedPartners Inc. This is my fourth year
as the consultant here.
My question is regarding a 19 year old gravida 1 para 1 mom who has a child
with the diagnosis of Treacher Collins Syndrome. Baby has a very high arched
narrow palate and an extremely short tounge. He is being fed EBM by NG tube
at this time has not been able to suck on bottle or breast. Mom is pumping q
2hours with a hospital grade pump with a good supply. Has anyone delt with
this? Any suggestions? Baby is currently being evaluated for further
abnormalities.
