In my study of adoptive nursing, we looked into this notion that adopting
will make a mother "relasx" and she will then get pregnant.  Sorry, folks.
It didn't happen very often. Only 5 mothers in 240 reported this occurring.
Two of them had endometriosis so badly they had been told they could never
get pregnant. In both cases, the endocrinologist suggested that
breastfeeding the adopted baby was what checked the endometriosis and
enabled them to conceive.  Again, however, it doesn't happen as often as
popel think. We just tend to hear about the ones where it DOES occur.
