Our Head Pharmacist at our hospital has been very resistant to replacing
Anhydrous Lanolin with Lansinoh. It seems he has a large vat of it and
wants to use it up first! We have someone willing to buy it all just to
get rid of it and have Lansinoh available which we have been asking to do
for some time now. I am looking for strong references supporting the
change. Unfortunately, he always needs written proof and is resistant to
change if it isn't his idea.
At our hospital, we do recommend breast milk first for nipple care, but
there are moms that ask for something more and/or Drs. who prefer the
ointment.
Thanks for your references. The help is always appreciated!
